What’s a Rewrap?
To rewrap something means exactly that, to rewrap it. We call our reusable fabric gift wrapping “rewraps” and this term covers our Sacks, Rewraps, Sack Ribbons and our new products we’ll be launching 2023. Our quality rewraps can be reused multiple times for years to come, preventing further cost to you and to the planet. They can potentially last a lifetime and be passed down between generations and gain sentimental value.
Why buy Chameleon Rewraps?
Our fabric wraps are sustainable, made from high-quality materials with corners that don’t fray. This enables them to be used for years and withstand many gift-wrapping occasions. All our fabric, threads and care labels are made from 100% natural fibres. When it does finally come time to retire your rewraps as a gift wrap, it can be repurposed as a bees wax food wrap or be composted as it is made from natural fibres. We don’t use any synthetic fabric or threads that would end up in landfill.

We want to drive change, for each of us to do our part to help eliminate wasteful habits, and (like a Chameleon) adapt our lifestyles to the environmental challenges we face. Society has learned to reduce water consumption, recycle our plastic waste, plant more trees, and compost our food scraps. So, it’s time to stop buying single use paper wrapping and adapt to using beautiful, reusable and sustainable fabric gift wrapping.

Environmental Impact
- Raw materials
Our Rewraps (sacks and wraps) are made from 100% natural fibres, including all stitching threads and our care instruction label.
This means, after decades of gift wrapping, when our rewraps reached their end of life, they are fully biodegradable and there for compostable. It also means, what little production waste we have that none of it goes to landfill and is composted in our home composting system.
- Waste
We use our scraps to make various products and waste is kept to a minimum
- Postage and Packaging
We use Australia Post and courier company Sendle (Australia’s first 100% carbon neutral delivery service).
All our packaging is sustainable, made from recycled fibre content and printed with soy-based ink or equivalent earth friendly non-toxic inks and is either biodegradable, recyclable or both. Our tissue paper is compostable in a home composting system.
Our swing tags, instruction / thank you cards, business cards, packaging tapes, stickers and cardboard boxes are 100% compostable and recyclable.
We encourage you to reuse our cardboards boxes and tissue paper rather than disposing of them.
